Record Store Day is happening on Saturday April 12th and we will be open from 12-5pm back in our location at RAILROAD ROOM #9 (in the water tower parking lot)!

Upon opening we will be letting in the first 5-10 people in line and that will continue as long as necessary. Lowe Mill is home to so many talented and fabulous folks – there’s something for everyone! Please be nice to your fellow shoppers! This is a fun event for music lovers and is all about celebrating music and indie record shops! Thank you for the continued support over all of the years! We  you #Huntsville!

Upon opening we will be letting in the first 5-10 people in line and that will continue as long as necessary. This is a great day to do some holiday shopping and support local! Records & Retro returns to The Orion Amphitheater for its third year on Sunday, October 6! Presented by Vertical House Records, visitors are invited to shop over 80 vendors featuring all kinds of items: LPs, 45s, retro music equipment, cassettes, CDs, VHS, video games, books, clothing, furniture, tchotchkes, and SO much more!

This FREE market also features live music, DJs, food trucks, and a wonderful day of community!

Calling all music and retro enthusiasts! After a whirlwind of enthusiasm and support the first year, we are stoked to announce the 2nd Annual Records & Retro: A Market to Celebrate All Things Groovy presented by Vertical House Records! This funtacular event will take place at The Orion Amphitheater on Sunday, October 15th from 11am-5pm!

Shop over 100 booths featuring all kinds of items! From some of the nation’s most beloved record shops and labels that will have LPs and 45s, to folks who have incredible collections of retro music equipment, cassettes, CDs, VHS, video games, books, clothing, furniture, tchotchkes, and SO much more! The market will also feature live music, DJs, food trucks, and a wonderful day of community! This event is free to attend! The Jangling Man is the story of UK-based artist, poet, and Cleaners from Venus frontman Martin Newell. Regarded by many as an influential figure in the history of cassette culture and DIY recording, Newell has been an integral part of the British music scene since the 1970s, and his music career spans over six decades. He’s been produced by XTC’s Andy Partridge, and written for the likes of Captain Sensible of The Damned. Though it would be wrong to call him an “unknown”, he has never been directly in the limelight. This film brings to light the amazing career and life work of the artist, who, on top of being the most published contemporary British poet as well as an established gardener, continues to record and release music today. The film is directed and produced by James Sharp and co-produced and edited by Jim Larson, and features interviews with Jessica Pratt, Mac DeMarco, XTC’s Dave Gregory, DIIV’s Zachary Cole Smith, Cherry Red’s Iain McNay, Wild Nothing’s Jack Tatum, and more.
